Faceless beings of fear and dread, the nine Nazgûl, or Ringwraiths, were undead servants of the Dark Lord Sauron, enslaved by the Rings of Power they wore upon their spectral fingers.
Once kings of Men, their identities have been lost, subsumed by their master's inexorable will. When word of the One Ring's return comes to Mordor, Sauron dispatches the Nine with orders to retrieve this most mighty of weapons and slay its bearer.
Borne on dark horses and shrouded in black robes, the Ringwraiths scour the lands of the Shire, in search of a Hobbit by the name of Baggins...

It takes 400-500 hours to design, sculpt, model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new piece. Whether it be a prop replica, beautiful environment or iconic character, we treat our collectibles with the same level of care and attention to detail that we bring to our film work.
Please note: images are of a pre-production prototype. Each sculpture is hand painted and minor variations will occur.
I was unsure about this one, from video reviews there was not convincing effect of that empty space where living beings have head, this may be very dependent on environment.
I put it on my workdesk, there is no direct sunlight going inside the cape and it is pitch black, and it looks fantastic.
Robe detail is amazing, and 'metal' parts look great as well.
Nazgul is pretty heavy, strange considering he is just robe, gloves sabaton and sword and no meat.
There are only 2 isues:
- these mini statues are not looking very good when placed way bellow your head level i.e. at the level where your hands are on table, they generally don't look up, and I generally think they look at something on the ground 20 meters in front of them.
- second issue is much more serious, there is no commander of Nazgul, the Witch King as mini statue (nor in 1:6 in ready for battle setup with flail and sword, this really needs fix asap..

Perfect!
This is one of the first figures I bought and I am extremely pleased! The level of detail is stunning! Even though the piece is mostly black there is an amazing sense of texture on the robe. Absolutely masterful details on the sword and the fingers as well as the robe of course. Brilliant paintjob. The pose is eerie and unnatural just like the ringwraiths themselves. I think this pose matches the character brilliantly. Even though it\'s a miniature I was actually quite surprised by how big and heavy it is. I highly recommend this piece!

Ever since I was a kid the Ringwraiths were always my favorite villain characters from both the books and movies, so when Weta put out this statue I had to have it. The statue is very sturdy and has survived a couple moves and some earthquakes. For those who love Ringwraiths or just want to increase their collection, this statue is 100% worth it.

My favourite Weta figure yet!
Let me start off this review by pointing out that I own all of the limited edition extended DVD's with included Weta figures. I absolutely love all of them.
So far, Minas Tirith has been my all time favorite item, up until I saw the Ringwraith up close.
This was my second purchase from the site. The figure itself is so intricately detailed, especially the cloth part. I love it's hands and the Morgul blade that has that old metallic feel. It really looks as if it has been cast out of metal, but the items are painted, naturally.
The figure gives me the chills sometimes, because the artist really achieved the eeriness required for it to be authentic.
This figure is definitely worth the money, and I am so lucky to have added it in my collection!

This one is perfect. Why i hate with some statue is that it is super hard to do the faces of the characters. So the faces doesnt look like the character, but the rest is perfect. With the Ringwraith, their is no face. therefore, it totally perfect. Concerning weta, the shipping was super fast (i live in Mauritius, indian ocean). and i will buy again, for sure!

A definite keeper
Great looking statue! The sculptor did an excellent job capturing the creature's sickly and, at the same time, ominous character.
The only thing I really hate is the pathetic quality of the packaging. The cardbord is too thin and looks so cheap. I am sure nobody would mind paying a few extra bucks for a good, rigid cardboard with matte and not this gaudy, glossy finish.
